About the role

Bowen Engineering is a locally owned company working in the Local and Mining Sector. You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality workmanship on a variety of industrial, workshop, mining and commercial projects. You'll work on a variety of projects within the local and mining sector, delivering high-quality workmanship and adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities
Fabricate, weld, and assemble structural components
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Conduct repairs and maintenance on mining mobile/fixed plant and conveyor systems
Perform cutting, welding, metal forming tasks and other trade associated tasks
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines

About you
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication
Proficiency in MIG, TIG,



and stick welding in steel, aluminium and stainless steel
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong understanding of fabrication techniques
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments
Proven background within the industry
Current QLD Drivers Licence
Must have the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Must be available for weekend and shift work when required

· Additional tickets (e.g. confined space, working at heights, forklift, rigging)

· Coal Board Medical

· Standard 11

· GCAA Level Two Welding Qualifications
