Andrew Peace Wines is one of Australia's largest family-owned wineries, with large-scale vineyard and winery operations based in Piangil, North West Victoria.
We are seeking an experiencedVintage Winemakerto manage night-shift winemaking and production operations for the upcoming vintage.
This is ahands-on leadership rolesuited to an experienced commercial winemaker who can lead by example, solve problems on the floor and confidently manage people and production in a fast-paced vintage setting.
About the Role
Working closely with the Head Winemaker, Senior Winemaker and broader winemaking team, you will:
Manage night-shift winemaking and production operations
Oversee grape receival, crushing, processing and fermentations
Coordinate additions, transfers, blending and tank movements
Manage workflow, tank capacity and production priorities
Lead and work alongside cellar and vintage staff
Troubleshoot winemaking, production and equipment issues
Maintain quality, safety, records and effective shift handovers
About You




You will ideally have:
A qualification in Oenology, Winemaking or equivalent
Stronglarge-scale commercial wineryexperience
Previous experienceleading a vintage, shift or major vintage operations
Strong technical and practical winemaking knowledge
Proven leadership and people-management skills
Ahands-on, lead-by-example approach
Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions under pressure
Experience with Vintrace, a forklift licence and relevant winery safety tickets will be highly regarded.
The Contract
Fixed-term contract, approximatelyFebruary to April
Primarilynight shift, including weekends and public holidays as required
