This is an opportunity to join an established Australian business specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke commercial joinery and furniture.
The Canberra team is looking for a confident, organised and solutions-focused Site Manager to oversee installation activities, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of site activities and the successful delivery of commercial joinery installations.
You will act as the key site representative, ensuring the installation team has the resources and direction required to meet project requirements, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, builders and other trades.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, leading people, and resolving issues before they impact project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the installation and delivery of commercial joinery projects from site commencement through to completion.
Coordinate and supervise installation teams, subcontractors and other site personnel.
Work closely with Project Managers to monitor progress, costs, timelines and project requirements.
Liaise with clients, builders,



construction professionals and other trades to ensure installation activities are well coordinated.
Review site conditions, drawings and project requirements to identify potential issues before they affect delivery.
Ensure the appropriate tools, materials and resources are available to meet installation commitments.
Monitor workmanship and maintain quality standards throughout the project.
Complete and review site reports, progress updates and relevant project documentation.
Maintain a proactive approach to problem solving and resolving site issues.
Uphold WHS policies and procedures, including conducting safety inspections and reporting hazards.
Monitor site risks and ... promptly.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with project procedures, client expectations and agreed timeframes.
About You
Previous experience as a Site Manager, Senior ite Supervisor, or similar role within commercial construction, shopfitting or joinery.
A strong understanding of building methods, construction processes, and site requirements.
Experience coordinating installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
The ability to identify problems early and implement practical solutions.
Experience working within project timelines and budgets.
A skilled approach to WHS and site safety.
The confidence to lead and motivate others.
