About the Position
Position Title: Maintenance Team Leader- Estates
Area of Work: Outer Western Suburbs of Melbourne including Geelong
Employment Type: Full-Time (Work hours are generally from 7.00am - 4.00pm)

UDL Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Estate Maintenance division.
In this position,



you'll oversee daily maintenance activities within prestigious residential estates, ensuring our open spaces and parks are maintained to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on team leader position where your day starts from home and involves traveling to various maintenance sites.
You'll be responsible for coordinating tasks, mentoring a small crew, and maintaining detailed and presentable open spaces.
This position offers a trusted autonomous working style, whilst being supported by experienced managers.
Key Responsibilities
Assess each site daily to identify priorities and delegate tasks effectively to your team
Lead and mentor a crew of estate maintenance staff, acting as the primary on-site contact
Ensure all team members complete daily pre-start checks and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment
Support the Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Manager by ensuring staff follow correct procedures, complete digital site checklists, and accurately log work hours
Operate and maintain a range of equipment, including mowers, brush-cutters, and hedgers
Planting, watering, mulching
Chemical spraying
Brush-cutting, hedging, pruning
Weeding, litter collection, and path clearing
Submit daily service reports and site updates to management
Liaise with subcontractors and traffic management personnel as needed
Identify and address any incomplete or substandard work promptly




Maintain high-quality control standards to prevent the need for rework
What We're Looking For
Candidates must have permanent Australian work rights
Proven experience (2-5 years) in a similar Team Leader or Supervisor position withinlandscape/horticulturemaintenance
Certificate III or above in Horticulture or similar
Construction Induction Card (White/Red Card)
Valid Victorian Driver's License (P Plate or Full License)
ACUP (Chemical Usage Certification)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to assess, plan, and execute daily site tasks efficiently
Competence in operating landscape machinery and tools
A keen eye for detail and commitment to safety and quality
Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
A positive attitude, great work standards, and easy-going personality to work as part of a team
Desired Qualifications:
Traffic Management Certificate/s
First Aid Certificate
