The Role
n
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our Residential Aged Care team.
n
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality catering services that support the wellbeing and dining experience of our residents, while ensuring food safety, compliance and efficient use of resources. You will work as part of a supportive catering and care team, preparing and serving meals in a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Preparing, handling, storing and serving food safely and hygienically
n
Ensuring meals and beverages are presented to a high standard
n
Maintaining appropriate food temperatures and completing temperature records
n
Setting dining rooms and preparing individual resident meal trays
n




Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
n
Monitoring and reporting food wastage
n
Supporting individual resident dietary requirements in consultation with clinical staff
n
Following food safety, WHS and infection-control requirements
n
Contributing to a positive and respectful dining experience for residents
n

Salary packaging — up to $15,900 per year for living expenses, plus a further $2,650 for meals and holiday accommodation

About You
n
We are looking for someone who brings:
n
n
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
n
Minimum two years' commercial cooking experience
n
Previous experience in a Residential Aged Care setting
n
Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety requirements
n
Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
Understanding of WHS and infection-control principles
