To do this well, you'll need:
Solid technical command of revenue recognition standards as they apply to government grant and contract funding (AASB **** / AASB 15) — this is tested, not assumed, so you'll need to be able to explain it, not just reference it
Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant experience, ideally in a not-for-profit or government-funded environment, with real ownership of balance-sheet reconciliations, month-end and audit schedules
Comfort working independently in a finance team mid-change, without needing everything mapped out for you
