They are now looking for anAccounts Officerto join their growing finance function and work closely with the Finance Manager across the day-to-day accounts operations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on opportunity for an Accounts Officer who enjoys being involved across the accounts function rather than being restricted to one area.
You'll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team, helping keep the financial operations running smoothly, accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Processing and reconciling invoices, payments and receipts
Assisting with weekly and monthly reporting and reconciliations
Following up outstanding invoices and assisting with debtor management




Assisting with payroll and general finance administration
Maintaining accurate financial records and databases
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Processing expenses, purchase orders and payment runsSupporting the Finance Manager with general accounting tasks and ad-hoc requirements
Ensuring financial information is accurate, up to date and processed within deadlines
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, switched-on and confident dealing with people.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar finance role
Construction, engineering or property experience highly regarded
Solid accounts payable experience and solid general accounting knowledge
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confidence communicating with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive and reliable approachStrong systems skills
Experience withJobpacorCheopsor other construction accounting software is highly regarded
