Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department setting
Rapidly assess, triage and prioritise patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
Provide clinical care to adults and paediatric patients across varying levels of acuity
Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients and medical emergencies
Collaborate effectively with medical officers, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
Monitor, assess and document patient progress accurately and comprehensively
Support trauma, resuscitation and critical care presentations
Provide patient and family-centered care during challenging and often stressful situations
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and clinical governance initiatives
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Requirements
Registered Nurse with current registration or eligibility for AHPRA registration
Minimum 2-3 years post-registration Emergency Department Nursing experience within the UK or Irish Healthcare System
Recent experience working within a busy Emergency Department
Experience managing acute medical, surgical and trauma presentations
Strong clinical assessment, triage and critical thinking skills
Experience caring for high-acuity and deteriorating patients
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Commitment to ongoing professional development
