The Opportunity
A leading commercial builder is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Melbourne's western suburbs.
Working closely with the project team and subcontractors, you will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards across a fast-paced site environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on safety skilled who enjoys being on site, building relationships and driving positive safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily site inspections and safety walks
Monitor subcontractor compliance and site safety performance
Facilitate site inductions and onboarding
Review SWMS and risk assessments
Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings




Investigate incidents, near misses and corrective actions
Maintain safety documentation and reporting
Support project audits and client safety requirements
Manage safety records and compliance systems
Coach supervisors and subcontractors on safety best practice
Promote a proactive and positive safety culture
About You
3+ years' experience as a Safety Advisor within commercial, industrial or major construction projects
Strong knowledge of Victorian construction safety requirements
Experience working for a head contractor or major subcontractor
Confident working in live construction environments with multiple trades
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experienced with digital safety management systems
Practical, solutions-focused and highly visible on site
