The Opportunity
n We are currently representing a well-established and growing
Tier 3 commercial construction business
in Melbourne that is looking to add a
Contract Administrator
to their team.
n With a strong pipeline of work and a deliberate move into larger and more complex projects, this is an opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth and play a genuine role in its continued development.
n The business has traditionally delivered projects in the
$1M–$15M range
and is now targeting projects up to approximately
$30M
, creating opportunities for ambitious CAs to work on larger projects and progress their careers alongside the growth of the company.

The Role
n As a
Contract Administrator
, you will work closely with the Project Manager and broader project team across the commercial and contractual delivery of projects.
n Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Managing subcontractor procurement and letting packages
n
Preparing scopes of works and subcontract documentation
n
Reviewing and assessing subcontractor claims
n




Processing progress claims and variations
n
Managing variations, EOTs and contractual correspondence
n
Cost tracking and forecasting
n
Maintaining project budgets and financial reporting
n
Subcontractor negotiation and relationship management
n
Reviewing contracts and commercial risk
n
Assisting with project programming and procurement
n
Working closely with the PM and site team to ensure commercial and construction requirements are aligned
n
Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
n
Supporting the project from procurement through to completion and final account
n
n
Project Exposure
n The business delivers projects across a variety of sectors, with previous and current work including
university facilities, education projects, community infrastructure, childcare, health and commercial developments
.
n The company is also expanding into
larger $5M–$30M projects
, meaning there is scope for the successful candidate to gain exposure to progressively larger and more complex builds.
n There is also an expanding pipeline of
pharmaceutical projects
, including work outside Victoria, providing further opportunities as the business grows.
n
What They're Looking For
n We're interested in speaking with CAs who have:
n
n
3+ years' experience
in a commercial construction environment
n
Experience working for a




Tier 2, Tier 3 or reputable commercial builder
n
Strong subcontractor management and procurement experience
n
Good understanding of contracts, variations, claims and EOTs
n
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
n
Positive communication and negotiation skills
n
The ability to work closely with both PMs and Site Managers
n
A genuine interest in progressing their construction career
n
n
A construction-related qualification is preferred, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.
n
