About the role
We are seeking a Roster Clerk to join the Brighter Access team on a full-time basis in Inverell NSW.
This is a crucial role that will ensure the smooth coordination and scheduling of our support services. The Roster Clerk will be responsible for managing staff rosters, coordinating schedules, and maintaining accurate records to support the efficient delivery of our support services. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that participants receive timely and consistent care whilst supporting our team to work effectively.
Key responsibilities
Creating, updating and maintaining staff rosters in line with service requirements and staffing levels
Scheduling support staff to meet client needs and service delivery commitments
Processing shift requests and rostering changes in a timely manner
Communicating roster updates to staff and managers to ensure everyone is informed of their schedules
Liaising with managers and supervisors to identify staffing requirements and adjust rosters accordingly6.
Managing rostering conflicts and resolving scheduling issues promptly and professionally




Ensuring compliance with award conditions, agreements and organisational policies regarding working hours and rest periods
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a rostering or administrative role, ideally within a community services, aged care or disability support environment
Proficiency with rostering software and computerised scheduling systems
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data management
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving rostering challenges
Knowledge of award conditions and employment agreements relevant to the community services sector
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general IT skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy administrative setting
