Vacuum Excavation Operators and Plant operators /n

Sheppard Earthmoving is seeking experienced Plant Operators and Vacuum Excavation Truck Operators to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of a range of plant to support our projects across the region.

What you'll be doing /n

/n
Safely operate and maneuver a variety of plant, including vacuum excavation trucks, excavators, loaders, skid steer loaders, tip trucks, and under bore machines

/n
Perform daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment

/n
Communicate effectively with the site supervisor and other team members to coordinate plant usage

/n
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

/n
Provide high-quality work and contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects

/n

What we're looking for /n

/n
Minimum 2 years’ experience operating mobile plant, including excavators, front-end loaders, skid steer loaders and tip trucks.

/n
Vacuum excavation experience is not essential — full training will be provided to the right candidate.

/n
Current MR or higher driver’s licence .





/n
Current White Card (General Construction Induction) .

/n
Strong understanding of secure plant operation, basic maintenance and equipment care .

/n
Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision across a range of projects.

/n
Solid communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills .

/n
A proactive and reliable approach to work, with a commitment to quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards .

/n
Willingness to learn recent skills and adapt to different equipment, worksites and project requirements.
