Capricorn Bulk Haulage is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator / Operations Coordinator to join our team based in Mackay.

/n

This is a hands on operational role responsible for coordinating the day to day movement of our fleet, managing driver allocations and supporting our transport operations across Mackay and surrounding areas.

/n

We’re looking for someone with solid road transport experience who can think on their feet, communicate well with drivers and customers, and keep operations moving safely and efficiently.

The Role /n

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

/n

/n
Coordinating and allocating company trucks

/n
Monitoring transport movements and responding to operational changes

/n
Communicating with drivers, customers, sites and management

/n
Assisting with fatigue, mass and maintenance compliance requirements

/n
Maintaining accurate operational and compliance records

/n
Supporting safety and continuous improvement across operations

/n
Ensuring customer requirements and service expectations are met

/n
Troubleshooting delays, breakdowns and other operational issues

/n
Attending other CBH sites when required

/n

/n

You’ll need to be comfortable prioritising your workload,



making operational decisions and solving problems as they occur.

What We’re Looking For /n

Ideally, you will have:

/n

/n
Previous experience in transport allocation, operations or a similar road transport role

/n
Good knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and legislation

/n
Strong communication and organisational skills

/n
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting

/n
A practical approach to problem solving

/n
Computer and administrative skills

/n
A solid understanding of fatigue, mass and maintenance compliance

/n
A current driver’s licence

/n

Highly regarded but not essential: /n

/n
HC / MC driver’s licence

/n
Front-end loader experience

/n
Experience within bulk haulage, mining or transport operations

/n
Mechanical minded

/n
