The Role
n
Our Victorian maintenance team is seeking a passionate and dedicated Horticultural Maintenance Specialist. This role focuses on theongoing horticultural care of Fytogreen's elevated and engineered green infrastructure, including:
n

Vertical gardens
n
Roof gardens (extensive and intensive)
n
Green facades
n
Planter box systems
n
n
You will work across Melbourne CBD and surrounding metropolitan areas, maintaining high-profile projects and ensuring installations continue to thrive in often challenging environments.
n
This is a varied, hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working bothindependently and as part of a team, is comfortable working at heights, is physically fit, and takes pride in delivering exceptional horticultural outcomes.

Location & Travel Requirements

Full-time, Monday to Friday
n




Work is primarily site-based across Melbourne CBD and the surrounding suburbs.
n
Attendance at our Somerville head office is required once per week
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Horticultural maintenance of green walls, roof gardens and elevated landscapes
n
Plant health monitoring, pruning and replacement planting
n
Identification and management of pests and diseases
n
Formative and selective pruning to maintain design intent
n
Irrigation system checks and basic troubleshooting
n
Completion of site reports and maintenance documentation
n
Working safely at heights using access equipment and systems
n
Representing Fytogreen professionally on client sites
n
n
Skills & Qualifications
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
Strong plant and horticultural knowledge, with practical pruning skills
n
Experience in Horticultural, landscape or specialist garden maintenance
n
Working knowledge of plant pests and diseases
n
A good level of physical fitness
n
Confident and comfortable working at heights
n
Strong organisational and time‐management skills
n
Competent computer skills and the ability to complete basic administrative tasks
n
A proactive, self‐motivated approach with a strong work ethic
n
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
n
n
Highly regarded (but not essential):
n
n
Formal horticultural qualification
n
Experience in maintaining roof or vertical gardens
n
Working at Heights, EWP and White Card
n
Acurrent driver's licence is essential.
n
n
NOTE: This role includes an element of working at heights. Full on‐the‐job training will be provided, including product training and any required licences.
