Director / Senior Director – Forensic Accounting & Disputes
Some forensic accounting roles are heavily weighted towards investigations.
This isn't one of them.
We are partnering exclusively with an established professional services firm seeking an experienced
Director or Senior Director
to take a senior leadership position within its Brisbane forensic practice.
We are looking for a senior forensic accountant with genuine expertise across
economic loss, quantification of damages, commercial disputes, expert reports and expert witness engagements
.
You'll join an established forensic team with strong capability already in place. The opportunity is to bring additional depth on the
accounting, disputes and expert evidence side of the practice
, while leading engagements, developing people and helping shape the continued growth of the team.
For the right person, this is much more than simply managing a portfolio of forensic matters. There is genuine scope to become a key senior figure within the practice.
The role
You'll take the lead on complex forensic accounting and dispute engagements, working closely with clients, lawyers, barristers and other professional advisers. Your work is likely to include:
Economic loss and quantification of damages
Loss of profits and financial loss assessments
Commercial and shareholder disputes
Business interruption and other complex loss matters
Business and financial analysis
Valuation-related disputes
Preparation and review of independent expert reports
Expert witness engagements
Litigation and dispute support
Leading matters from initial scoping through analysis, reporting and hearing
Reviewing the work of more junior forensic accountants
Coaching and developing team members
Building relationships across the legal and broader professional services market
Contributing to the continued growth of the forensic practice
Who we're looking for
You will already have a substantial career in
forensic accounting, disputes or expert advisory
and be operating at, or ready to step into, a senior leadership position.
Ideally, you will bring:
CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualifications
Significant forensic accounting experience
Strong economic loss and damages experience
Commercial disputes and litigation support expertise
Experience preparing, reviewing or contributing substantially to expert reports
Exposure to expert witness engagements
Strong financial analysis and accounting capability
Experience leading complex engagements end-to-end
The credibility to work directly with senior lawyers, barristers and clients




Leadership and team development experience
Experience
giving expert evidence in court or under cross-examination
would be highly regarded.
Investigations, fraud or financial crime experience is also valuable, but this is
not primarily an investigations role
.
