The Position:
n
We are looking for a Trade Assistant to join our Brisbane Service team. This is a hands‐on role supporting our technicians with forklift servicing, repairs, equipment cleaning & preparation and general workshop and yard duties.
n
You'll play an important role in keeping the workshop and yard secure, clean and organised, while ensuring forklifts and other equipment are properly prepared, moved, stored and presented for customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
n
n
Assist tradespeople with supervised repairs and servicing of forklift trucks, plant and other equipment.
n
Assist technicians with general workshop duties and equipment preparation.
n
Move, position and prepare forklifts and other equipment.
n
Clean and prepare equipment before and after servicing or repairs.
n
Assist with loading and unloading equipment, parts and materials.
n
Collect and return tools, equipment and materials as required.
n
Assist with basic non-trade tasks as directed.
n
Maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
n
Perform general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the workshop and yard.
n
Assist with waste disposal, including scrap metal, used parts and general workshop waste.
n
Report equipment damage,



faults and safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
n
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe yard.
n
Assist with incoming and outgoing equipment movements.
n
Assist with loading and securing equipment for transport.
n
Perform deliveries and pickups as required.
n
Assist with stocktake and equipment identification when required.
n
Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely and professionally.
n
Complete weekly service vehicle inspection checklists and ensure vehicles are maintained appropriately.
n
Attend company-provided training and service meetings.
n

Qualification, Requirements & Skills
n
n
Previous Trade Assistant experience is preferred.
n
Current Driver's Licence.
n
Forklift Licence is desirable.
n
Ability to work safely and follow HSE procedures.
n
Ability to operate tools, plant and equipment safely and professionally.
n
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
n
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and management.
n
Demonstrated initiative and enthusiasm.
n
Strong willingness to learn and develop.
n
Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
n
A strong commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.
