Senior Java Engineer
to join its growing technology team in Sydney. The role is suited to a software engineering professional with strong
Core Java
expertise and hands‐on experience developing scalable backend applications and REST APIs.
The successful candidate will work with
Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Maven, Java OOP principles, entity relationship management, and Java design patterns
. Candidates should be capable of developing robust backend solutions and contributing effectively to modern software engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend applications using Core Java.
Design and build scalable REST APIs.
Develop applications using Spring and Spring Boot.
Work with microservices-based architecture.
Apply Java OOP principles to software development.
Manage entity relationships within application architectures.
Use Maven for project build and dependency management.
Apply appropriate Java design patterns to software solutions.
Contribute to application architecture and backend development activities.
Develop maintainable, scalable,



and reliable software components.
Collaborate with technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and backend development issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum
5 years of hands‐on Java development experience
.
Strong Core Java skills.
Hands‐on experience building
REST APIs
.
Strong experience with
Spring / Spring Boot
.
Solid understanding of
microservices-based architecture
.
Strong understanding of Java
Object‐Oriented Programming (OOP)
.
Good knowledge of entity relationship management.
Hands‐on experience with
Maven
is mandatory.
General understanding of Java design patterns.
Strong backend development and software engineering capabilities.
Good analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a software engineering team.
Relevant Java or software engineering certifications are advantageous.
