We're a growing hospitality group operating multiple venues across Sydney and regional NSW, and we're looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our team.
n
This is a hands‐on role for someone who enjoys getting into the numbers, keeping things organised and helping management understand how each venue is performing.
n
You'll work closely with senior management and our venue managers, with exposure across the financial performance of the broader group.
n
The role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Weekly P&L; and venue performance reporting
n
Accounts payable and receivable oversight
n
Payroll checking and reconciliation
n
Bank and credit-card reconciliations
n
Cash-flow tracking and forecasting
n
Supplier spend and cost analysis
n
Food and labour cost reporting
n
Budget vs actual reporting
n
Identifying unusual expenses, wastage and margin issues
n
Preparing regular management reports
n
Working with venue managers to ensure invoices and financial information are provided on time
n




Liaising with our external accountant and bookkeeper where required
n
Helping improve financial systems, controls and reporting as the group grows
n
n
About you
n
n
Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in an accounting, finance or bookkeeping role
n
Strong Excel skills
n
Good understanding of P&L; reporting, reconciliations and basic management reporting
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
n
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
n
Confident communicating directly with venue managers, suppliers and senior management
n
Strong organisational skills and comfortable following people up when information is required
n
Australian workplace experience highly regarded
n
Hospitality or multi-site business experience would be highly regarded
n

This is a hands‐on role and is not designed as a graduate‐entry position.
