Job Description
Title: Payroll Officer
n Location: Surrey Hills, VIC or Bathurst street Hobart, TAS Employment: Full-time / Fixed Term (12 months)

This is an opportunity to build your expertise in complex award and enterprise agreement interpretation while working with a team that shares knowledge and supports one another. You'll help ensure employees across Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and the ACT are paid accurately and on time.
n
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
n
n
Experience processing payroll and an understanding of the end-to-end payroll process.
n
Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
n
Confidence using payroll systems and Excel to maintain records, complete checks and investigate discrepancies.
n
Proficiency in payroll systems and HRIS platforms, with strong Excel and data-management skills.
n
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
n
Effective communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
n
Strong judgement and problem-solving skills when resolving payroll discrepancies.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines during busy payroll periods.
n
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive employee information.
n
Experience with the SCHADS Award or payroll in a large, multisite organisation would be valuable, but we also welcome applications from payroll professionals ready to grow into this complexity.
n
Experience with TechnologyOne or Carelink.
n
Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or related discipline
n
Understanding of the disability sector and NDIS
n
n
