Senior Software Engineer - Perm
We're partnering confidentially with amajor defence / national security aligned organisationdeliveringmission-critical platforms and networksthat support high-impact outcomes.
This is a chance to join a high-performing engineering team working on alarge-scale information integration program, where secure engineering practices, quality delivery, and modern tooling are non-negotiable.
What you'll be doing
You'll work across the full SDLC and contribute to design and delivery of secure, enterprise-grade solutions.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading and contributing tosolution design, prototyping, and engineering approach selection
Translating requirements into technical deliverables in collaboration with systems/engineering stakeholders
Hands-ondevelopment, unit/integration testing, and support through release/deployment




Promoting and embeddingengineering best practices(secure coding, quality, CI/CD)
Mentoring and supporting junior engineers where needed
What we're looking for
To be successful, you'll bring strong software engineering fundamentals plus solid delivery experience in complex environments, including:
Strong commercial experience withJavaandJavaScript
Experience buildingAPI servicesand working with enterprise integration patterns
Working knowledge ofDevOps / CI/CD, plus tools such asDockerandKubernetes
Experience with Agile delivery (Agile / Kanban)
Comfort working with tools likeJiraandConfluence
Exposure togeospatial systemsis highly regarded
Eligibility (essential):
Australian Citizen
Active TSPV clearance(this is non-negotiable for this program)
