Bright Waves Swim School in Tarneit, VIC is seeking an enthusiastic and drivenAssistant Managerto support the launch and day-to-day operations of our new swim school.
Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will play a key role in leading our team of instructors and customer service staff, ensuring the smooth running of the centre and delivering an exceptional experience to every family.
This is a hands‐on leadership role where you will support team development, maintain high operational standards, and help build a positive, high‐performing culture.

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the leadership of a team of swim instructors and customer service staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high‐performing team environment
Assisting in the coordination and delivery of high‐quality swim lessons across all age groups, from infants through to adults
Overseeing daily operations to ensure the facility runs efficiently, safely, and to a consistently high standard
Building strong relationships with team members, families,



and the local community
Supporting the growth and success of the swim school through continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations and Bright Waves standards
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally within aquatics, fitness, or a customer‐focused setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating great experiences
Well‐organised with the ability to manage priorities in a fast‐paced environment
A passion for swimming and water safety
Swim teaching qualifications (or willingness to obtain), along with a current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
Relevant qualifications in sport, recreation, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
