An opportunity exists for an experienced and client focused Clinical Nurse (Ophthalmology Clinic) to join the Surgical Outpatients team.
This is a permanent full time position, primarily working Monday - Friday dayshift.
About the Department
The Surgical Clinics facilitate specialist outpatient services for Ophthalmology, General and Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Vascular, Facio-Maxillary, Orthopaedic, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and Preadmission services. Surgical Outpatients also provides Plaster Technicians, Stomal Therapist and Colorectal services within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). Surgical Clinics has approximately **** occasions of service (OOS) per month.

Qualification:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Highly Desirable:
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis
