Job Description

This is a casual labouring position on a construction site working with pipefitting and mechanical installation teams. You will be working 7am – 5pm, Wednesday to Wednesday, one week on/one week off swing, on a 4-week contract with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities n
n
Assist with lifting and positioning of pipes and valves
n
Assist pipefitters or mechanical installers
n
Measure, cut, position and support pipework during installation
n
Safely operate hand and power tools (grinders, drills, impact drivers, reciprocating saws, pipe cutters, etc.)
n
Assist in the installation of pipe supports, brackets and mechanical equipment
n
About you n
n
Previous experience with steel piping
n
Familiar with torquing bolted flanges and mechanical assembly
n




Ability to read straightforward isometric or GA drawings
n
Experience using laser levels, measuring equipment and pipe alignment tools
n
Experience working in a live industrial or fuel facility
n
Current Driver Licence
n
Willingness and ability to pass a Railway Category 3 Medical Assessment, and associated E-Learning Modules
n
Ability to pass a pre-employment urine drug and alcohol test
n
Demonstrated experience in a relevant role, with a minimum of 2 work-related references
n
Ability to accommodate and commit to both (and potentially ongoing) swings
n
