Key Responsibilities
n




n
Prepare detailed estimates and pricing for residential construction projects
n
Review architectural plans, engineering drawings, specifications and selections
n
Complete detailed take-offs and quantity measurements
n
Prepare accurate costings and tender submissions
n
Obtain and assess pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
n
Review variations and project changes
n
Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and commercially viable
n
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
n
Identify potential cost risks and opportunities throughout the estimating process
n
Work closely with the construction team to ensure a smooth handover from estimating through to construction
n

About You
n
n
5+ years' experience in residential estimating
n
Experience in Data Build highly regarded
n
Strong knowledge of residential construction and building processes
n
Excellent ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
n
Experience with take offs, costing and tender preparation
n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
n
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
Strong computer and estimating software skills
n
A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously
n
A genuine interest in building a long-term career within residential construction
n
