Andrew Peace Wines is one of Australia's largest family-owned wineries, with large-scale vineyard and winery operations based in Piangil, North West Victoria.

We are seeking an experienced Vintage Winemaker to manage night-shift winemaking and production operations for the upcoming vintage.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced commercial winemaker who can lead by example, solve problems on the floor and confidently manage people and production in a fast-paced vintage environment.

About the Role
n
Working closely with the Head Winemaker, Senior Winemaker and broader winemaking team, you will:

Manage night-shift winemaking and production operations
n
Oversee grape receival, crushing, processing and fermentations
n
Coordinate additions, transfers, blending and tank movements
n
Manage workflow, tank capacity and production priorities
n
Lead and work alongside cellar and vintage staff
n
Troubleshoot winemaking, production and equipment issues
n
Maintain quality, safety, records and effective shift handovers
n

About You
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
A qualification in Oenology, Winemaking or equivalent
n
Strong large-scale commercial winery experience
n
Previous experience leading a vintage, shift or major vintage operations
n
Solid technical and practical winemaking knowledge
n
Proven leadership and people-management skills
n
A hands-on, lead-by-example approach
n
Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions under pressure
n
n
Experience with Vintrace, a forklift licence and relevant winery safety tickets will be highly regarded.
n
The Contract
n
n
Fixed-term contract, approximately February to April
n
Primarily night shift, including weekends and public holidays as required
n
Accommodation provided
n
Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle
n
