We currently looking for an experience SHEETMETAL WORKER to join our team in Sydney NSW. Tasks and duties:
n
n
Working with a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, galvanized steel, and fiberglass insulation.
n
Measuring, cutting, and assembling sheet metal ducts.
n
Repairing damaged sheet metal components by studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements, materials, and equipment needed.
n
Selecting metal stock such as stainless steel, galvanized iron, mild steel,



aluminium, and copper, and verifying sizes, gauges, and dimensions against specifications.
n
Marking metal stock with reference points and lines using templates, gauges, and other measuring tools.
n
Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, and hammers.
n
Fitting and assembling components into final products through welding, riveting, soldering, brazing, and other joining methods.
n
Finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding, and cleaning assembled items.
n

Qualifications & Experience:
n
n
Certificate III or IV or diploma in related fields
n
Proven at least 5 years' experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role
n
Proficiency in working with various metals and understanding their properties.
n
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
n
Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as metalworking machinery.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Physical stamina and strength to handle and work with heavy materials.
