Manufacturing Quality Specialist- 12 month fixed term role n

This role is a hands-on quality role where you can make a difference on the factory floor

You will have direct involvement in product quality, food safety and manufacturing performance

You will work closely with Production and a broad range of quality and technical teams

Make a difference by coaching and influencing others to maintain our strong quality culture

Develop your quality capability, including HACCP and internal auditing training
About the role n
The Manufacturing Quality Specialist monitors and verifies product quality, food safety and process compliance throughout manufacturing operations. Working within the production setting, the role provides real-time quality support by conducting inspections, process verification, GMP monitoring and non-conformance management to ensure Burra Foods products meet customer, regulatory, FSSC *****, HACCP and internal quality requirements.
Key responsibilities n
Verify critical process controls, quality checks and monitoring activities are completed effectively
n
Monitor production processes for compliance with specifications, procedures, customer requirements and internal quality standards
n
Confirm finished products meet food safety, regulatory, customer and Burra Foods requirements
n
Inspect product quality attributes, including packaging integrity, seal integrity,



weight control and labelling compliance
n
Verify Critical Control Points, Operational PRPs and food safety monitoring activities are completed correctly
n
Participate in HACCP reviews and food safety investigations
n
Conduct GMP, hygiene and process compliance inspections across production areas
n
Identify, quarantine and support disposition of non-conforming materials or products
n
Initiate non-conformance reports and ensure deviations are documented accurately
n
Lead or support investigations into production-related non-conformances, quality incidents, traceability issues and customer complaints
About you n
Relevant qualification in food science, quality, dairy manufacturing or equivalent industry experience
n
Experience in production quality, food manufacturing, dairy manufacturing or a related operational role
n
Ability to conduct quality inspections, process checks, product verification and non-conformance investigations
n
Proven experience with the use of word and excel
n
HACCP Team Member training or equivalent
n
Internal auditing certification
n
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Production, Maintenance and Technical teams
n
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, improvement opportunities and Right First Time outcomes
n
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards
n
Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality systems and Good Documentation Practice requirements
n
