Walkabout Creek Café is looking for an experienced and energetic Café Manager to lead our vibrant venue at Enoggera Reservoir, The Gap. Working alongside Cuisine on Cue and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services, you'll lead a dedicated team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and oversee a well-established café in a truly unique natural setting.

About the Role
n
As Café Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of Walkabout Creek Café, maintaining high service standards, driving profitability and inspiring your team to deliver memorable experiences.
n
Beyond café management, you'll gain exposure to weddings, corporate and private events, venue operations and team development, with opportunities to grow your career within the wider Cuisine on Cue hospitality group.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences
n
Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and efficiency
n
Manage staff rostering in line with business requirements and budgets
n
Train, mentor, and motivate team members
n
Conduct opening and closing procedures
n




Perform POS and cash handling duties
n
Oversee inventory management, stock control, and cost management
n
Assist with venue preparation and event setup
n
Work closely with the Venue & Events Team to deliver weddings, celebrations, and private functions
n
Coordinate event operations, including room layouts, table settings, and bar setups
n
Build strong relationships with the Walkabout Creek Sales Team and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services
n
Ensure all operational standards, policies, and procedures are consistently met
n

Full-time position

Wednesday to Sunday roster
n
Weekend availability is essential

You'll Bring:

- Proven hospitality leadership experience
n
- Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, and cost of goods

- Ability to train, coach, and inspire a team

- Outstanding customer service and communication skills

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

- A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
n
- Current RSA certification
n
- Current Australian Driver's License (preferred)
