We are a well-established supplier of capital equipment, winery consumables, processing equipment, packaging solutions and manufacturing products to the wine, beverage and food industries across Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Part-Time Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to support our growing operations. This role is ideal for an experienced purchasing, supply chain or logistics professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and can effectively coordinate local and international procurement activities.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will coordinate purchasing activities, supplier communications, freight arrangements, and inventory replenishment to ensure products are sourced and delivered efficiently to our customers.
n
This is a permanent part-time position offering flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Manage purchasing activities from local and international suppliers.
n
Raise and monitor purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
n
Liaise with overseas
manufacturers/suppliers
regarding production schedules and shipment dates.
n
Coordinate import and export documentation.
n
Arrange domestic and international freight, including sea, air and road transport.
n
Track shipments and proactively manage delivery issues.
n
Work closely with warehouse and sales teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
n
Monitor stock availability and assist with demand planning.
n




Maintain purchasing and logistics records within the ERP system.
n
Assist in negotiating freight and shipping rates with carriers and logistics providers.
n
Manage supplier communications and maintain positive supplier relationships.
n
Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain operations.

About You
n
You will be a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
n
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain or inventory management.
n
Experience coordinating international freight and logistics.
n
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
n
Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
n
High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
n
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
n
Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
Experience working with imported capital equipment or industrial products.
n
Knowledge of international shipping terms.
n
Understanding of customs and import documentation requirements.
n
Previous experience within the wine, beverage, food manufacturing or industrial equipment sectors.
n
Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
