About the Chance

A well-established, nationally operating supplier is looking to strengthen its Finance team with an Assistant Accountant. Based in Dandenong, this business has built a strong name for itself across Australia through quality products and excellent customer service.

This is a great next step for someone with a couple of years' accounting experience under their belt who's ready to broaden their skill set. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager and get regular exposure to the CFO, picking up knowledge across the full finance function rather than being boxed into one narrow area.

What We're Looking For
n
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related field
n
2+ years' experience in a similar accounting/finance position
n
Confident Excel user
n
Mandarin (Chinese) language skills highly regarded
n




NetSuite or similar ERP experience is a bonus
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Day to day, the role covers a lot of ground:
n
Local and international accounts payable & Accounts receivable support
n
KPI reporting and general finance administration
n
Bank reconciliations
n
Liaising with Sales, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to keep financial data accurate
n
Inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
n
Cost and margin reporting
n
Month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Involvement in finance projects and process improvement initiatives
n
Fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
