About the Role
Join Waverley as a
Maintenance Officer
and play a key role in keeping our facilities safe, compliant, and fully operational. This
part-time (0.6 FTE, 22.8 hours per week)
role offers flexibility while giving you the opportunity to contribute to key projects like
preventative maintenance planning
, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll have a real impact on the ongoing functionality and safety of our organisation.
About You
You're an experienced
maintenance professional
with a background in
building or facilities management
, ideally in corporate or not-for-profit environments. You bring initiative, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with a commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality work.
What You Will Do
Maintain safe, compliant facilities in line with regulatory and OHS requirements.
Managing facilities maintenance projects including coordinating installations (e.g. air conditioning systems), obtaining quotes, and overseeing trades and internal stakeholders.




Plan and execute preventative and reactive maintenance to keep assets operational and reliable.
Coordinate contractors and manage maintenance priorities, budgets, and records.
Support emergency responses and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide updates to senior leadership on risks, projects, and regulatory changes
You Will Demonstrate
Strong knowledge of facilities management and relevant Victorian regulations.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Initiative and a solutions-focused approach to challenges.
