The Chief Commercial Officer is an executive level role that shapes, drives and delivers strategies that strengthen TAFE Queensland's long-term sustainability, including diversifying revenue streams, expanding market presence and enhancing the organisation's reputation across domestic and international markets.
As Chief Commercial Officer, you will oversee growth in initiatives across commercial clients, higher education, international operations and TAFE at Schools programs, aligning these with the organisation's strategic priorities. Through these functions, the Chief Commercial Officer sets the agenda to respond to the evolving needs of industry, government, students and the community while delivering strong commercial performance and public value outcomes.
This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is part of the Executive Management Committee. If successful, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of education and training by leading transformative commercial initiatives in this large, complex and highly reputable provider.

Key Capabilities for the Chief Commercial Officer:
Extensive executive leadership experience in large, complex organisations, with a record of leading growth, transformation and organisation-wide outcomes.
Proven experience leading commercial strategy,



business development, revenue diversification, strategic partnerships and market expansion.
Strong understanding of vocational education and training, higher education, international education and related public sector policy and regulatory environments.
Exceptional ability to engage, negotiate and influence across government, industry, academic, community and international stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated capacity to manage commercial governance, probity, compliance, investment assessment, contracts and strategic risk.
A track record of building high-performing, values-led teams and creating a culture of innovation, accountability, inclusion and customer focus.
