EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER (Contract) for High School Formals

About us
n Your Photographer is a Brisbane based company that has photographed high school formals and events for over 20 years. Schools keep coming back because we deliver consistent, professional results every time. We're looking for 2 to 3 contract photographers to join our crew for formal season across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, and Ipswich.

The must haves for this role
n
Available for the four busiest dates in **** listed below
n
Your own mid or pro level camera body, a 24 to 70mm (or 24 to 105mm) lens
n A current Blue Card, or willing to apply for one
n
An ABN and reliable transport
n
Experience photographing people (weddings, events, parties, or portraits), with a portfolio to show it
n
The upcoming dates
n
Tuesday 17 November from 3:30pm, either Sunshine Coast or Brisbane
n
Wednesday 18 November from 4pm, Brisbane
n
Thursday 19 November from 4pm, either Brisbane or Tamborine
n
Friday 20 November from 7am until around 12 or 1pm, graduations in Brisbane
n
Most events run 5 to 7 hours, so expect to finish as late as 11pm.

What the job looks like
n
Depending on the event and your skills, you could be roving, shooting in our studio setup, or doing both.
n
Roving:
n
Car and red carpet arrivals
n
Friend groups, family photos, and table shots
n
Speeches and award presentations
n
Dancing and candids
n




Year level cohort photos of 50 to 120 students
n
All shot on your own camera with flash
n
Studio:
n
Posed student portraits, from individuals to large groups
n
Shot to our house style and brief
n
You will also help with setup and pack down, which involves some lifting.
n
This role shoot only, with no editing.
n
You will hand over your cards at the end of the night.
n
Dress code:
n
We provide a polo shirt, you wear black business pants and closed in black shoes.
n
