Two temporary AO5 Senior Ranger (Disaster Recovery) positions:
Play a key role in Queensland's disaster recovery efforts.
These roles are responsible for coordinating asset management, infrastructurerestoration, and natural disaster recovery programs across the Central Region. Thepositions support the assessment, prioritisation, and recovery of QPWS assetsimpacted by cyclones, floods, storms, bushfires, and other natural disaster events.
Key responsibilities include managing recovery projects from initial damageassessment through to completion, including the development of scopes of work,cost estimates, recovery priorities, funding submissions, and project deliveryactivities. The roles also monitor budgets and expenditure, maintain recovery workprograms, prepare technical documentation and reports, and provide advice andsupport to regional staff.
In addition, these positions lead procurement and contract management activities formaterials, contractors, and specialist services, ensuring recovery projects aredelivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with funding requirements,procurement policies, and relevant legislative obligations.
