We are looking for an experienced and proactive Workshop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Muswellbrook workshop.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Workshop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Muswellbrook workshop.
n
This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes and creating a safe, productive and high‐performing workshop environment.

About the role
n
As Workshop Supervisor, you will take responsibility for coordinating workshop activities and supporting the team to deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
n
Working closely with the Leading Hand and State Manager, you will provide leadership and technical direction while ensuring workflow, quality, safety and customer requirements are effectively managed.
n
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, supporting and mentoring workshop employees
n
Planning daily workshop activities and coordinating workflow with the Leading Hand
n
Providing technical support and direction to employees and customers
n
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
n
Conducting toolbox talks and promoting a strong safety culture
n
Planning and quoting workshop jobs and signing off completed work
n
Managing timesheets and leave requests




n
Liaising with customers, sales staff, suppliers and other RIMEX branches
n
Ensuring crack testing and welding processes meet Australian Standards
n
Overseeing dispatch and receiving activities and ensuring products meet required quality standards
n
Training and mentoring apprentices and workshop employees
n
Supporting inventory and budgeting activities
n
Identifying opportunities to improve tooling, processes, productivity, safety and cost effectiveness
n
Ensuring job documentation is completed accurately and appropriately maintained
n

About you
n
We are looking for someone who can combine strong workshop knowledge with confident, practical leadership.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Previous experience in a workshop supervisory or leadership position
n
Robust technical knowledge and understanding of workshop operations
n
Demonstrated people leadership and team development skills
n
A strong commitment to safety and quality
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to organise workflow, prioritise competing demands and manage your time effectively
n
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and positive change
n
n
A trade qualification is advantageous but not essential for a candidate with the right experience and capability.
