Home Care Support Worker – Ongoing Shifts

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Support Worker to join LG Services and Supports. This is a contract position offering ongoing shift-based work, providing essential care and support to individuals within their own homes. In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable people by delivering high-quality aged and disability support services. You will be working flexibly across various shifts to meet the diverse needs of our clients, contributing to their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key responsibilities
n
Providing personal care assistance, including help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
n
Assisting clients with meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping duties
n
Supporting clients with mobility and safe movement around their home environment
n
Accompanying clients to medical appointments and community outings
n
Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health, wellbeing, or support needs to management
n
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care provided and client interactions
n
Building positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families
n
Ensuring client dignity, privacy, and rights are upheld at all times
n
Adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control and manual handling procedures
n
Working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver coordinated support
n
What we're looking for
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
n
Demonstrated experience in aged care, disability support, or related community services
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills,



with the ability to listen and respond with empathy
n
Reliability and flexibility to work across various shift patterns, including evening and weekend shifts as required
n
Physical capability to perform manual tasks and assist with mobility support
n
A genuine commitment to person-centred care and supporting client independence
n
Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond appropriately to challenging situations
n
A valid driver's licence would be advantageous for community-based support
n
