About the Role n
As Geospatial Information Officer, you will provide operational support across the enterprise GIS environment while working closely with the Geospatial Lead and Geospatial Specialist.
n
You'll play a critical role in maintaining spatial datasets, supporting business users, delivering mapping services and contributing to the ongoing development of the organisation's GIS capability.
n
This position is ideal for a GIS professional looking to broaden their technical skills while working across a diverse and interesting portfolio of projects.
Duties – A Day in the Life n
n
Support the administration and configuration of GIS applications
n
Assist users with mapping, reporting and GIS-related requests
n
Create high-quality maps, visualisations and spatial reports
n
Capture, maintain and quality assure corporate spatial datasets
n




Support asset management initiatives through spatial data collection and reporting
n
Manage GIS helpdesk requests and provide end-user support
n
Conduct spatial and demographic analysis for business stakeholders
n
Maintain cadastral and property-related spatial information
n
Develop user guides and support GIS training activities
n
Assist with the ongoing enhancement of enterprise GIS systems and processes
n
Skills & Experience n
n
Experience working with GIS applications and spatial datasets
n
Strong capability with ArcGIS Pro and QGIS
n
Understanding of spatial databases and spatial data management principles
n
Experience producing mapping, reporting and spatial analysis outputs
n
Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
n
Exposure to asset management datasets or infrastructure environments is advantageous
n
Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Geospatial Science or a related field preferred
n
Local Government experience highly regarded but not essential
n
Exposure to a broad range of GIS projects and stakeholders
n
