Role: HD Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic – DIDO
n Position: Permanent
n Pay Rate: $70–$73/hr + Super
n Extra: $3/hr Performance Bonus (paid 6 monthly)
n Location: Gunnedah, NSW
n Hours: 7:7 Roster

The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter to join a major Australian mining services and heavy equipment business in the Gunnedah region.
n
The Role
n
Join a team of approximately 6 HD Fitters responsible for maintaining and repairing a large mobile mining fleet. The role combines workshop and pit-based maintenance, with the majority of work completed in the workshop.
n
Duties
n
n
Service, repair and maintain large-scale mining equipment
n
Diagnose and fault-find mechanical issues
n
Complete preventative and scheduled maintenance
n
Carry out major component change-outs
n
Perform gearbox overhauls and major mechanical repairs
n
Work across CAT, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment
n
Identify faults and return equipment to service efficiently
n
Work independently while supporting the wider maintenance team
n
Meet daily and weekly maintenance targets
n
Maintain high safety,



reliability and workmanship standards
n

CAT D9 & D11 Dozers

CAT 777F Water Carts
n
CAT 793C & 793D Haul Trucks
n
CAT 854K Wheel Dozer
n
CAT 988H Loader
n
CAT 16M & 24M Graders
n
Hitachi EX**** Excavator
n

What We're Looking For
n
Essential:
n
n
Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic
n
Certificate of Proficiency
n
Order 43 / NSW Coal Board Medical
n
Proven experience maintaining large-scale mining equipment
n
Strong mechanical diagnostics and fault-finding skills
n
