The Role
n
Working closely with a Partner and Senior Client Account Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries and entity structures.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Managing your own client fee base and becoming the primary point of contact for clients.
n
Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns.
n
Conducting first-level reviews of work completed by junior accountants.
n
Managing workflow across your portfolio to ensure deadlines are achieved.
n
Providing business advisory and taxation advice to clients.
n
Identifying opportunities to deliver additional value-added services.
n
Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
n
Building strong, long-term client relationships.
n
n
For candidates operating at an Assistant Manager level, you will take on additional responsibility across portfolio leadership, workflow management, team development and supporting the Partner with strategic client relationships.
n
What You'll Bring
n
You will be CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) with a strong background in public practice and a desire to progress within a modern advisory environment.
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' public practice experience for Senior Accountant level.
n
Approximately 7+ years' experience for Assistant Manager level.
n
Experience managing your own client fee base.
n
Strong experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns.
n
Experience conducting first-level reviews.
n
Strong workflow and deadline management skills.
n
Exposure to trusts, companies, individuals and multi-entity groups.
n
Experience with Division 7A, trust distributions and tax planning.
n
Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
A genuine interest in business advisory and helping clients achieve their goals.
n
Previous experience mentoring and supporting junior accountants.
n
A proactive, commercial mindset and a willingness to contribute to a growing team.
