Registered Nurse – Gastroenterology & Clinical Research
Precision Gastroenterology – Knox City Centre VIC
The primary focus of this role is supporting gastroenterology and endoscopy patients throughout their care journey. This is a unique prospect to join a growing specialist practice and help shape an evolving role that combines clinical patient care with exposure to clinical research.
Key responsibilities
Reviewing and tracking histology, pathology and investigation results
Coordinating patient recalls and follow-up appointments
Communicating specialist-reviewed results and recommendations to patients
Responding to patient enquiries via telephone and email
Providing patient education, guidance and reassurance
Liaising closely with treating gastroenterologists
Maintaining accurate clinical records and patient communication notes
Ensuring outstanding investigations and follow-up actions are completed
Supporting clinical trial administration and coordination
Assisting with participant recruitment and follow-up
Assisting with nursing related administration
About you
Holds unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Confident working independently and taking ownership of patient matters
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Naturally builds rapport and trust with patients
Demonstrates empathy, professionalism and emotional intelligence
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Possesses sound clinical judgement and knows when to elevate concerns
Reliable, proactive and self-motivated
Willing to learn and grow with the practice
