Located beside the Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns, Shangri-La the Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel featuring 255 guest rooms, 19 function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities.

About the Role
n
As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will be an important part of creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
n
Working across our Food & Beverage operations, you will deliver attentive and personalised service while ensuring our outlets and functions operate smoothly and to the high standards expected of a luxury five-star hotel.
n
No two days are the same, and you will have the opportunity to gain experience across different areas of hotel Food & Beverage.
n




Your Responsibilities
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Providing warm, friendly and professional service to all guests.
n
Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
n
Serving food and beverages in accordance with hotel standards.
n
Preparing and setting up restaurants, bars, function spaces and other Food & Beverage areas.
n
Ensuring tables, service areas and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
n
Assisting with functions, events and other hotel Food & Beverage operations.
n
Maintaining excellent knowledge of our food and beverage offerings.
n
Responding to guest requests and enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
n
Working closely with colleagues and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
n
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
n
Following all hotel policies, procedures and Food & Beverage standards.
n
Supporting the team during busy service periods and adapting to changing operational requirements.
n

About You
n
We are looking for people who are genuinely passionate about hospitality and enjoy creating positive experiences for guests.

A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience is desirable, but not essential.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
A positive, friendly and professional attitude.
n
Strong attention to detail and personal presentation.

The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
n
The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
n
A willingness to learn and develop your hospitality skills.

Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in what you do and understands that the little details can make a big difference to a guest's experience.
