This is a full‐time position of 38 hours per week, based at Cuisina by Nena, Shop 2, 161 Station Road, Burpengary QLD ****. The successful applicant will work across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, takeaway and catering preparation and service as required. This is a hands‐on commercial kitchen role for a person who can prepare high‐quality food efficiently, maintain consistency in busy periods and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present menu items to a consistent, high standard
n
Prepare and cook Filipino dishes in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
n
Support breakfast, lunch, dinner, takeaway and catering operations
n
Complete food preparation, mise en place and service efficiently during busy periods
n
Maintain food quality, portion control, stock rotation and waste‐minimisation practices
n
Assist with food costing, stock management and kitchen‐workflow improvements
n
Receive, check and store stock in accordance with food‐safety requirements
n
Maintain a clean, protected and organised kitchen
n
Comply with food‐safety, hygiene, allergen‐management and workplace health‐and‐safety requirements
n




Work independently and collaboratively in a small kitchen team
n
About you
n
n
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent relevant qualification
n
Demonstrated experience working in a commercial kitchen
n
Strong food‐preparation, cooking, plating and time‐management skills
n
Experience working efficiently during busy service periods
n
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, stock rotation and kitchen safety
n
Experience with portion control, food costing, stock management and reducing food wastage
n
The ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality and presentation
n
A reliable, positive and hardworking attitude
n
Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays where required
n
Experience preparing Filipino cuisine, or the ability to quickly learn and consistently execute Filipino dishes, will be highly regarded
