Role Overview n

Responsibilities n
As a Learning Designer (Teacher) at Calvary Christian College, your responsibilities centre upon planning, preparing and delivering effective learning programs. As a Learning Designer, you will:

Reflect the College's commitment to exceptional learning in everyday practice.

Plan, prepare and report on quality learning experiences in line with theAustralian Professional Standards for Teachers.
n
n
Maintain competency and a current knowledge of relevant curriculum requirements.
n
n
Create supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices
n
n
Work within a collaborative team to ensure supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices.
n
n
Provide for the physical, social, cultural, emotional wellbeing and safety of students while at the College and assist students in becoming effective leaders within their community.
n
n
Assess students for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes.
n
n
Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, and other stakeholders as required.
n
n
Participate in the collaborative development and evaluation of the curriculum and regularly monitor, through observation and evaluation, the effectiveness of the teaching program.
n
n
Participate in co-curricular activities and professional development (including mandatory training) and be familiar with and accountable to college policies and procedures.
n
n




Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community.
n
n
All teachers at Calvary are expected to plan, prepare, and deliver elements of the College's Formation program, including devotions, lessons, and service learning as required.

Queensland College of Teachers registration

Selection Criteria n
n
n
Demonstrated teaching competence and proficient understanding and application of contemporary pedagogy.
n
n
Demonstrated understanding and application of the Australian Curriculum v.9.0 and/or QCAA Syllabi.
n
n
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and capacity to create a classroom environment that improves student outcomes.
n
n
Outline how your faith and beliefs align with ours as a Christian College.

This role may be based at our Springwood or Carbrook Campus.
