Join our vibrant team as a Personal Care Attendant / Food Services Assistant at Boambee Gardens Retirement Village, located in Toormina, near Sawtell in the beautiful Coffs Harbour region.
n
This casual position offers a varied and rewarding opportunity where no two days are the same. You'll play an important role in supporting residents' wellbeing through the delivery of quality personal care, hospitality services and day-to-day village support. We're seeking a motivated and caring individual who enjoys building relationships, providing exceptional service and making a positive difference in the lives of older Australians.

Availability to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts is essential, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts when available.

The position
n
n
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
n
Providing personal care and support to residents
n
Administering prescribed medications in line with requirements
n
Preparing, serving and delivering meals and beverages
n
Assisting with meal service and special functions
n
Supporting kitchen operations while maintaining food safety standards
n
Undertaking cleaning and laundry duties across resident and common areas
n
Maintaining a clean, secure and welcoming environment
n
Reporting maintenance issues and safety concerns
n
Building positive relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues
n
Assisting in other areas of the village as required
n

We're on the lookout for someone with:
n
n
Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent
n
Experience in personal care, hospitality or food service roles
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n




Current Food Handlers Certificate (or ability to obtain)
n
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
n
National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
n
Experience in retirement living or aged care environments highly regarded
n
Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol Testing
n
