Global Medical Solutions (GMS) supplies time-critical
radiopharmaceuticals
to nuclear medicine departments across Victoria. We are looking for a Packing Operator to help ensure these products are accurately prepared for delivery so hospitals can care for their patients on time.
n
The early start is an essential part of this role – starting at 02:30 am. It includes packing and dispatch, as well as hands-on cleaning, preparation and housekeeping duties in a clean, controlled working workplace.

What you'll do
n
n
Accurately label and pack
radiopharmaceuticals
for dispatch.
n
Prepare shipping documents, customer labels, delivery bags, placards and dangerous goods declarations.
n
Coordinate dispatch and logistics arrangements for deliveries across Victoria.
n
Wear appropriate PPE
n
Prepare packages for the next production / delivery run
n
Clean and sanitise shielding, trays, pots and other items for the next production cycle.
n
Sweep and mop packing areas, empty bins and manage recycling.
n




Handle returned materials and dispose of waste in line with radiation safety and waste management procedures.
n
Maintain a clean, organised work area and assist with general inventory control.
n

The ability to reliably work 2:30 am to 6:30 am.

Strong attention to detail and a reliable approach to time-sensitive work.
n
A willingness to undertake regular cleaning and housekeeping duties.
n
Clear communication skills and a team-focused approach.
n
A commitment to safety, quality and the patients who depend on timely deliveries.
n
The physical ability to carry out the role, including lifting items weighing approximately ***** kg.
n
Experience in packing, dispatch, logistics or a laboratory environment would be helpful, but we welcome applications from people who are keen to learn.
