A lawyer with between 2 and 5 years PAE is sought to assist and manage various family law matters. The role involves working directly at the coalface with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances.
Key responsibilities
Assist and manage various family law matters
Work directly with clients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances
Handle family law matters such as divorce, de facto relationships, financial agreements, property matters and settlements, child support and parenting matters
Make court appearances in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Magistrates' Court of Victoria
Conduct advocacy work
Occasional involvement in intervention order matters, wills and deceased estates and PEXA transactions
Draft various legal documents including correspondence and Court documents
Interview and communicate with clientsConduct legal research
About you
Between 2 and 5 years PAE




Enthusiastic about family law
Technical skills in drafting legal documents
Ability to interview and communicate positively and effectively with clients
Knowledge of the law and ability to conduct legal research
Ability to work well autonomously and collaboratively
Familiarity with Smokeball and PEXA highly regarded, although not essential
