Leading Hand Mechanic / 2IC - Tyre & Auto Service Workshop
TWJ Automotive Services Pty Ltd - Rouse Hill NSW
This is a hands-on leadership position working closely with the workshop manager/owner to help oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop while continuing to carry out mechanical repairs and servicing.
Key responsibilities
Carrying out mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostics
Tyre fitting, balancing, wheel alignment and general tyre-related work
Helping coordinate the workshop and allocate jobs
Supporting and assisting other mechanics and apprentices
Supporting and assisting the workshop manager and filling in
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
Carrying out vehicle inspections and roadworthy-related work
Communicating with customers when required
Helping ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
Stepping up and taking responsibility for the workshop when required
About you
A qualified and experienced mechanic




Minimum 5 years' automotive mechanical experience
Holds a current NSW Pink Slip (AIS) licence
Holds a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
Confident diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, organised and takes pride in their work
Has solid attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
Confident communicating with customers and team members
Looking to take the next step into a Leading Hand / 2IC position
Full-time, permanent position. Monday - Friday only, have the weekends to yourself
