Paediatrician
to join a well-established public hospital in a major regional centre in NSW.
The hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services to a large regional and rural catchment and has recently undergone a significant redevelopment, offering modern, purpose-built clinical facilities.
The Role
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality specialist paediatric care to infants, children and adolescents across inpatient, emergency and outpatient settings.
The Paediatric Unit provides
24-hour paediatric medical and nursing coverage
and manages a broad range of general and acute paediatric presentations.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing specialist-level general paediatric care
Managing acute and complex paediatric presentations
Participating in inpatient and outpatient services
Supporting the assessment and stabilisation of acutely unwell children
Working closely with Emergency Medicine, Maternity, Anaesthetics and other specialty teams
Supervising and supporting junior medical staff
Participating in clinical governance,



quality improvement and education
Liaising with tertiary paediatric services when escalation or transfer is required

The Ideal Candidate
We would be interested in speaking with Paediatricians who hold, or are eligible for:
Specialist registration with AHPRA; or
RACP Specialist Pathway candidates who have received a substantially comparable assessment and require a period of supervised/peer-reviewed practice in Australia.
Internationally trained Paediatricians progressing through the Australian specialist recognition process are encouraged to enquire.
