Richlands | Queensland Timber Frame Division
n
We're looking for a Floor Truss Estimator & Detailer to join our Queensland Timber Frame division at our Richlands plant.
n
This is a hands-on technical role where you'll be responsible for producing accurate and efficient timber floor truss designs, estimates and layouts that support our manufacturing and construction operations.
n
You'll work closely with internal teams and other stakeholders to interpret plans, solve design challenges and ensure floor systems are practical, compliant and ready for manufacture and installation.
n

What you'll be doing
n
n
Estimating and detailing timber floor trusses for residential construction projects.
n
Producing accurate floor system layouts and designs for manufacture.
n
Designing and detailing bearers and beams using MiTek or Hyne Design software.
n
Reading and interpreting architectural, structural and engineering plans.
n
Ensuring designs meet the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
n
Working with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve design and construction challenges.
n
Reviewing designs to ensure they are accurate, practical and suitable for installation.
n
Supporting the efficient flow of projects from estimating and detailing through to manufacturing.

Contributing your technical knowledge and ideas to continuously improve how we work.

What we're looking for
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
Experience designing timber floor trusses within the Queensland residential construction or timber manufacturing industry.
n
Experience across both estimating and detailing timber floor trusses.
n
Experience with floor system layouts and a strong understanding of how floor systems are designed and installed.
n
The ability to design bearers and beams using MiTek or Hyne Design software.
n
Proficiency in MiTek Sapphire.
n
A solid understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards.
n
The ability to confidently read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering plans.
n
Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
n
Experienced Multinail or Pryda detailers are also encouraged to apply - we're happy to support the right person with cross-training into MiTek Sapphire.
