Labourer - Recycling Facility (Narangba) n
Jumbo is a locally owned southeast Queensland waste management, resource recovery and recycling group. Since **** we've grown from a single skip truck to an entire fleet, thousands of bins, and our own recycling operation - and we're still growing. We're a hands-on, no-nonsense team that takes safety seriously and looks after our people.
About the Role n
We're looking for a reliable Yard Labourer to join our recycling yard at Narangba, reporting to the Yard Supervisor.

This is a casual role with good hours - averaging 30 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. It's physical, hands-on work keeping the yard running: picking and sorting recovered materials, keeping the site and equipment clean, and supporting our plant operators, drivers and maintenance crew.
What You'll Be Doing n
n
Picking, sorting and separating recovered materials
n
Maintaining the yard and equipment to a good standard
n
Cleaning and general upkeep of machinery, tools and equipment
n
Dust suppression around the site
n
General site upkeep and housekeeping
n
Supporting plant operators, drivers, maintenance staff and supervisors with day-to-day tasks
n
Working safely at all times, wearing your PPE, and reporting hazards and near misses
n

A strong work ethic and genuine reliability - you turn up, on time, every day
n
Ability to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role, including frequent manual handling, lifting, bending, climbing, and prolonged standing and walking in an outdoor industrial workplace
n
A safety-first attitude and willingness to follow procedures and SWMS
n
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
n
Current driver's licence and own reliable transport
n
Highly Regarded (Not Essential) n
n
Previous experience in recycling, waste, quarry, civil or construction environments
n
White Card
n
Plant tickets - front-end loader, excavator or similar
n
Truck license
n

Working Conditions n
This is a site-based role in an active industrial environment. You'll be working outdoors in all weather, around moving vehicles and heavy machinery, with potential exposure to dust and noise. PPE is provided and must be worn at all times.
